What is a Mentor?

Mentors are wise and trusted counselors for mentees (the people receiving advice and support). A mentor's knowledge, experience, encouragement and skills offer the guidance, advice and small amounts of hands-on training. However, while a mentor can steer a mentee in the right direction to reach his or her potential, a mentor can't, and shouldn't attempt, to force change against the will of the younger leader or activist.  

My Mentoring Services

I have knowledge, experience and skills in two areas:  relationships and home-based business.  So revisiting the above definition, let's examine why you should consider my services.

Relationship Mentoring

Knowledge & Experience -    I am the author of a relationship memoir, Lessons Learned:  While Looking for Love in All the Wrong Faces.  This book is a collection of real-life relationship experiences and the valuable life lessons I learned while on my journey of looking for a romantic partner.  So, as you can see, my knowledge is solid and proven.

Guidance - I have offered extensive advice and guidance to numerous people - women and men.  My professional experience has been in the field of guidance, counseling and advising college students.  It was my professional experience which led me to my purpose and passion in this area.  Here's why:  no matter why a student visited me (academic, career or financial aid direction), a large percentage of these conversations turned to relationship issues.  I mean, it was truly astounding.  After 5 years of working in this profession, I realized the impact that romantic relationships can have on all areas of people's lives. 

Business Mentoring

Knowledge & Experience - For the last 15 years, I have been a home-based business owner either on a full- or part-time basis.  I am currently a full-time home-based entrepreneur.  Taking a leap of faith and leaving the traditional workplace was one of the best decisions of my life. 

Rarely, are new entrepreneurs able to afford a team to help them.  I have owned an event and wedding planning firm, a cake decorating business and a ladies suit and accessory business.   I have joined two multi-level (MLM)  marketing companies.  I know what works and what doesn't.

Guidance - Sometimes one is so close to a thing, they can't see the forest for the trees.  I literally stumbled into business mentoring.  People have always sought my advice, guidance and opinion on starting and maintaining home-based businesses. 

What You Can Expect

For Relationship Mentoring, you can expect advice from the heart.  I deliver my advice in a warm, sincere but no-nonsense manner.  I will help you identify things which may be hindering you from attracting the relationship which is perfect for you.  I will suggest things you can do to help yourself heal and redirect you to live your best life ever. 

For Business Mentoring, you can expect advice from the heart as well.  I will share with you tools - many of them free or low cost that will help you launch, manage and administer your home-based business.  Let me warn you:  there is not shortcut to success.  You must have faith in God (or whatever you call your Higher Power), faith in yourself and you must take action.  So, to sum it up, I suggest tools to help taking action easier.

For either type of mentoring, you will always be treated with dignity and respect.  What we discuss will always be kept in the strictest confidence.  I will suggest and outline steps for you to take but I will never push you.  The desire to improve your love life and to launch or improve your home-based business must come from within.
