She is proud of the fact that after carrying a complete manuscript to and from work for 3 years, she published her first book, a relationship memoir entitled Lessons Learned: While Looking for Love in All the Wrong Faces. Based on the life lessons learned while searching for love, Carmin offers mentoring and advice for and speaking topics on relationship issues.
Carmin has over 25 years of professional experience. The last 15 years of her professional experience has been in the field of higher education. She has served college students as a Student Services Manager, Program Coordinator, Academic Advisor and Senior Financial Aid Officer. She is most proud of the fact that she has successfully counseled and advised hundreds of students from all walks of life on every issue imaginable. Carmin knows what it takes to succeed in college and she knows the challenges, which without proper guidance and motivation, can cause students great difficulty. She also understands the challenges of a very special type of college student - the non-traditional student. This dynamic woman of faith opted for deferred retirement from her 12-year government job and returned to college full time at the age of 37 and completed requirements for her undergraduate degree in one year. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida and her Master of Science Degree in Management & Administration of Education Programs from Nova Southeastern University.
She is an entrepreneur as has owned several businesses: a very successful event planning firm, a cake decorating and wedding planning business and a ladies suit and accessories business. She intimately understands what it takes to succeed in home-based and small businesses. She is the founder of e-BlackWomenNetwork.com, which was created to offer resources to mentor, uplift, empower and motivate women of color to achieve their dreams of entrepreneurship, financial and physical well-being, enhanced spirituality and career advancement. To assist in her endeavor, she has proudly formed an alliance with the Skill of Success team, a dynamic firm which offers tools and products to assist individuals in achieving success in business and career advancement.
Carmin is a native of Tampa, Florida and she still resides in Tampa with her family.
